Portugal has qualified for the next round of the World Cup, defeating Uruguay, by 2-0, thanks to two goals by Bruno Fernandes, however, Ronaldo claims that one of the goals was his.

Immediately after the final whistle, at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, the television cameras 'caught' Ronaldo arguing the FIFA decision to award the opening goal to his teammate, shouting: "It touched me! The ball touched me".

The goal came in the 54th minute when Bruno Fernandes crossed the ball into the heart of the penalty area, where Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to jump and head the ball into the goal.

Speaking post-match, Fernandes said he wasn’t bothered whose goal it was.

“I don’t think it really matters who scored the goal at this point. The feeling I had at the time was that Cristiano touched the ball. I was passing the ball to him".

“But the important thing was that we won tonight against a very tough opponent”.
