Lisbon: It will be feeling hot again this weekend in the capital with temperatures peaking at 30 degrees and dropping to nightly lows of 16 degrees. From Monday intermittent cloud cover is expected, which will see temperatures falling slightly to highs of 28 degrees before falling again from Wednesday.

The north: Saturday is to be the hottest day of the coming week with highs of 28 degrees and lows of 18 degrees. From Sunday the temperatures are to start to fall to average highs of 25 degrees before tumbling further from Wednesday to average daily highs of 21 degrees and nightly lows of 15 degrees.

The centre: This weekend will be feeling hot still in the centre with average daily highs of 32 degrees and lows of 21 degrees. Cloud cover is to increase from Sunday which will see temperatures falling slightly. From Wednesday there will be a chance of rain in the centre, which is set to continue into Thursday.

The south: The sweltering temperatures of earlier in the week are to subside this weekend to average highs of 26 degrees and nightly lows of 18 degrees. Intermittent cloud cover is also expected this weekend and is to set to continue throughout the next week with average highs of 26 degrees,

Madeira: Temperatures are to remain steady in Madeira with average highs of 25 degrees and lows of 20 degrees throughout the weekend and the following week. Cloud cover is to increase from Sunday and there will be a 20 percent chance of rain each day from Tuesday.

The Azores: Intermittent cloud cover is expected all weekend and throughout the next week in the Azores although temperatures are to remain steady with average highs of 23 degrees and nightly lows of 17 degrees. From Tuesday the chance of rain is to increase, although it is never more than 35 percent.
