Upon becoming aware of the risk of not fulfilling the payment, the creditor must start a legal procedure, an Action Plan for the Risk of not fulfilling the payment (PARI), and suggest to the debtor a payment plan that suits them best. But if there is already non compliance, the Extrajudicial Procedure for Regularization of Situations for not fulfilling the payment (PERSI) must be opened, and the creditor cannot advance with the case to the court.

What should I avoid?

Consumers should avoid accruing debts and avoid miraculous offers of easy credit, such as “clear your name without paying your debts”, as we are dealing with illegal and fraudulent practices.
Also, do not give in to the temptation to ask for money from moneylenders, who often use illegal means to collect the exorbitant interest rates they charge.
