“Following the weekly review of the measures to contain and mitigate the covid-19 disease”, 16 municipalities have added to the list of very high risk municipalities, which included only Lisbon, Albufeira and Sesimbra, and now also covers “Almada, Amadora, Barreiro, Cascais, Constance, Loulé, Loures, Mafra, Mira, Moita, Odivelas, Oeiras, Olhão, Seixal, Sintra and Sobral de Monte Agraço”.

The resolution also defines 26 councils considered at “high risk”, namely Alcochete, Alenquer, Arruda dos Vinhos, Avis, Braga, Castelo de Vide, Faro, Grândola, Lagoa, Lagos, Montijo, Odemira, Palmela, Paredes de Coura, Portimão, Porto, Rio Maior, Santarém, São Brás de Alportel, Sardoal, Setúbal, Silves, Sines, Sousel, Torres Vedras and Vila Franca de Xira.

All citizens who are in the 45 municipalities that are subject to the rules relating to "high risk" and "very high risk", determines the resolution, "should refrain from circulating in public or private roads and stay at their respective homes, every day of the week, between 23:00 and 05:00”.

The Lisbon weekend lockdown also continues with "the circulation to and from the Lisbon Metropolitan Area prohibited" over the weekend, that is, "between 3:00 pm on 2 July, 2021 and 6:00 am on 5 July, 2021 ”.

Resolution No. 86-A/2021 states that the pandemic “is in a growth phase, associated with the presence and proliferation of variants of concern” in the national territory, “with an increase in the incidence and number of those infected and hospitalised”.

“In this sense”, the text continues, “the adoption of new mitigation and containment measures is justified”, as well as the need to “maintain all the precautions that have accompanied us since the beginning of this pandemic”.
