Flights will be available in July and will then be twice weekly from 1 August until 27 October, with flights taking place on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Wizz Air already operates routes from Faro including to Vienna (Austria), Cardiff (Wales) and Doncaster and London Luton in England.

The new routes from Wizz Air are part of their expansion with the opening of a base in Rome Fiumicino. Speaking at the base opening ceremony at Rome Fiumicino, George Michalopoulos, Chief Commercial Officer of Wizz Air Group said: “Our brand new A320 neo-family aircraft as well as our enhanced protective measures will ensure the best possible sanitary conditions for travellers while operating with the lowest environmental footprint.
