Customers will have to change the dates between November 28 and December 19, according to the company.

“In light of the prior notice of strike by Cabin Staff, on December 8th and 9th, TAP informs that it will allow customers who wish to change the dates of their flights during this period to do so without any penalty between November 28th and 19th December”, reads a message posted by the air carrier on Twitter.

TAP states that “it is in negotiations with the cabin crew union” and “hopes that an understanding is found that avoids the strike”.

TAP crew members announced a strike on December 8th and 9th, called by the National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC), citing as reasons the “discontent, revolt and malaise” among workers.

TAP and the unions are negotiating to review the Company Agreement (AE), within the scope of the restructuring plan.

TAP proposes cuts in salaries and flexible working hours, among other measures.

Crew members want the current company agreement to be the starting point and basis for any future negotiations.
