The different events planned for New Year in Albufeira are: Carpe Nox, Paderne Medieval, and Solrir.

“We spent two years without being able to promote one of our biggest tourist attractions, for reasons related to the pandemic, but we are back to revive this tradition which attracts visitors from all over the world” said the mayor, José Carlos Rolo.

“New Year’s Eve in Albufeira, will feature an icon of Portuguese music, with another more contemporary performer and also with a great firework show, unprecedented in Europe, guaranteeing an unforgettable New Year's Eve and a quality show”.

The New Year’s Eve party will take place on the beach at Praia dos Pescadores from 10pm and is free to enjoy. As well as performances from Rui Veloso and Tatanka, there will also be an aquatic pyro-musical show and an artistic skydive performance complete with aerial choreography and pyrotechnics.




As part of the New Year's Eve programme, Solrir will also take place, a comedy festival that takes place on December 30th and January 1st, at the Palácio de Congressos do Algarve with António Raminhos, Vasco Correia and Luís Filipe Borges on the first night and Hugo Sousa and Abdias Melo, taking to the stage on January 1.
