In addition to this action, NOS brought an injunction to ensure that the court deliberates on the dense air case before the start of the 5G auction.

"Alongside this action NOS will file before the Portuguese courts an injunction and an action against the rules of the regulation responsible for the bias of the conditions of action in the market and also against the disconcerting and inadmissible lack of reasoning for the discriminatory measures provided for in the regulation," an official source told Lusa.

Precautionary measures suspend ongoing proceedings, which will delay the start of 5G.

These actions announced by NOS, on 12 November, come a week after the National Communications Authority (Anacom) announced the auction regulations, which has been contested by the three operators - Altice Portugal, NOS and Vodafone Portugal.

On 5 November , the president of Anacom, João Cadete de Matos, considered that the auction regulation presents "a set of balanced conditions" and hopes that the allocation of licenses allows an "improvement" of competition in the sector.
