Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has previously addressed the nation from Belém Palace in Lisbon to decree a state of emergency, on March 18, April 2, April 16, in the initial phase of this epidemic in Portugal, and also November 6th, when he decided to restore this legal framework. Today, Parliament debated and voted on the draft decree that renews the state of emergency in Portugal from 24 November until 8 December, to allow measures to contain the covid -19 virus.
