CVRBI's online store, which is headquartered in the city of Guarda, is part of the Beira Interior Wine Route strategy that brings together, in addition to local producers, several partners such as Turismo do Centro de Portugal, Aldeias Históricas de Portugal, the municipalities of Guarda, Oleiros, Vila Velha do Ródão, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Fundão, Castelo Branco, Pinhel and Trancoso.

According to the president of CVRBI, Rodolfo Queirós, with the project to open the store on the internet, wines produced in Beira Interior “reach the whole country in a different format”.

“In a particularly difficult period for wine producers, making a tool available to sell their products is seen as a gain”, says the official in a note sent to the Lusa News Agency.

Rodolfo Queirós stresses that it is “a launch based on 'e-commerce', which seeks to keep up with consumer trends, offering cosmopolitan and dynamic wine lovers the possibility to acquire and taste the wines of Beira Interior without leaving the comfort of their homes”.

“This is an important step to strengthen the relationship between Beira Interior wines and the public. In the new store, they will have access to more than 140 different wines from Beira Interior, including whites, rosés, reds, sparkling wines and late harvests. There will also be an opportunity to purchase other endogenous products, such as olive oil and honey”, said the official.

CVRBI also mentions that the online store project, which will be available on Tuesday, 2 February, at www.vinhosdabeirainterior.pt, “reinforces the importance, both of networking and digitalisation that the world has been adopting”.

“Beira Interior intends, through this 'e-commerce', to innovate and take its wines further”, concludes the note.

CVRBIi s headquartered in Guarda, at Solar do Vinho, and covers the wine-growing areas of Castelo Rodrigo, Pinhel and Cova da Beira, in the districts of Guarda and Castelo Branco, which correspond to an area of ??20 municipalities.
