“I don’t want anything from Marseille or money. I just want to leave”, said the Portuguese coach, in a press conference, guaranteeing that he is waiting for a response from the management, with which he admitted having a disagreement in the ‘transfer window’, which period ended on 1 February.

Villas-Boas, who joined the French club at the start of the 2019/20 season, said he was against the arrival of French midfielder Olivier Ntacham, on loan from Scottish team Celtic, , and admitted having known “at the last minute” of the departure of winger Nemanja Radonjic for Hertha Berlin.

“My professionalism has been touched and I cannot accept it”, said the coach, who admitted the possibility of leaving the club at the end of the season, guaranteeing, however, that he is willing to continue until the management accepts the his request.

The coach said he respected the contract and said he was “totally focused”.

Last week, dozens of supporters, 25 of whom ended up in detention, stormed the club’s training centre to protest against the club’s management, notably President Jacques-Henri Eyraud.
