A 3.0 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale was recorded during the early hours of Saturday morning in Vila do Bispo, in the west of the Algarve. In a statement, the Portuguese Met Office (IPMA) said that the earthquake’s epicenter was registered near Vila do Bispo at 4.49am, and was felt strongest in Aljezur and less intensely in the municipalities of Lagoa and Lagos.
