Stronger than any of the waves that hit Italy, Spain, the United States or even Brazil. This is the conclusion of the statistical publication "Our World in Data", developed by the University of Oxford. Judging by the average number of deaths in the last seven days, Spain was the only country to reach a peak of 18 deaths per day per every million inhabitants in March last year. Italy reached 13.5 deaths, days before. In Portugal, for three weeks now, since January 21, the average has exceeded 18 deaths per million inhabitants, and on February 1, averaged a new maximum of more than 28 deaths.
