The epidemiological bulletin of the DGS also reveals that 4,482 patients are hospitalised, 350 less than on Monday, a significant decrease, of which 752 in intensive care, 32 less.

The data released today also indicate that 8,865 people have been reported recovered, bringing the total number of recovered since the start of the pandemic in Portugal to 677,719.

For 16 consecutive days, the number of recovered people has exceeded the number of new infections.

Active cases in Portugal continue to register a decrease and today fell to less than 100,000 (95,320), that is, 7,474 less active infection cases, something that had not happened since 8 January.

Since March 2020, Portugal has recorded 15,522 deaths associated with Covid-19 and 788,561 cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection.

Health authorities have 121,180 contacts under surveillance, down 8,341 from the previous day, with the downward trend continuing since 30 January.
