Tyrrell Hatton has won the first Golfer of the Month award of 2021 with 59.4 percent of the vote, courtesy of his four-stroke victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

His triumph marked an impressive start to the season, and he put together rounds of 65-68-71-66 to claim his fourth Rolex Series title, which also saw him secure a career-high of fifth in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Hatton then followed up his win with a tie for 22nd at the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic, highlighted by an impressive second round 64 that helped him to comfortably make the cut after a turbulent first round left him way down the leaderboard.
Paul Casey was the runner-up in the first of this year’s head-to-head battles for Golfer of the Month, receiving 40.4 percent of the vote after winning a milestone 15th European Tour title at the iconic OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic. The Englishman had a fast start with a 67 on Thursday and put on a convincing display on his way to his own four-shot victory.
