On the west coast of the Algarve, in the municipality of Aljezur and in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, is where we find this beautiful beach. Although narrow, the sand here stretches for over 500 metres and is surrounded by impressive black schist cliffs. This beach is very popular with surfers from all around the world, but also fishermen and divers are drawn to the waters of Arrifana. In 2012 this beach was awarded with the Blue Flag and lifeguards are stationed here throughout the bathing season. Close to the car park at the top of the cliffs you can find facilities like toilets and showers and if you get hungry after a long day on the beach there are several restaurants in walking distance that are happy to fill your belly.
