Road accidents involving victims decreased by around 25% in 2020 compared to the previous year, and deaths and serious injuries dropped by 20%, an annual report released today revealed. The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) presented the 24-hour accident and road inspection report for 2020, which from mid-March was marked by lockdown measures to contain the covid-19 pandemic, which had consequences on mobility. According to ANSR, in 2020 there was also a 14.4% reduction in road fuel consumption compared to 2019.
