VOA festival postponed to 2022By TPN/Lusa, In News, Arts & Lifestyle, Lisbon, Music · 27 Apr 2021, 10:47 · 1 Comments
The VOA - Heavy Rock music festival, which was scheduled for June at the National Stadium, in Oeiras, has been postponed to 2022, due to "all the uncertainties surrounding the realisation of bigger events".
The 11th edition of VOA should have happened in the summer of 2020, it was postponed to this year because of covid-19, but it is now due to take place in 2022, considering that it will be impossible to hold a mass event "without distancing and without restrictions on capacity".
"With all the uncertainties surrounding the realisation of bigger events, and despite the efforts made to obtain a clear plan by the Ministry of Culture for summer festivals, it became evident that the 11th edition of VOA Heavy Rock Festival will not happen this year", lamented the organisation.
Thus, the 11th edition of the VOA Heavy Rock Festival has been rescheduled for 30 June and 1 July 2022. In a statement, the organisation does not specify the location of the festival, nor the poster, with the line up.
The 11th edition of VOA had names like Sepultura, Korn, System of a Down, Bring Me The Horizon, and Bizarra Locomotiva.
Purchased tickets remain valid for new dates.
