In the week of May 17-23, there was an 80% increase in billing from British payment cards across the country compared to the previous week. In the Algarve specifically the increase was of 13%.

Some government officials are patting themselves on the back believing that the population won’t figure out that a 13% increase of sweet FA isn’t really very much. Perhaps if they got an 80% pay cut and then only received a 13% increase on the remaining 20% it will make them realise the reality that so many businesses and workers are living!
