The IPMA also placed at very high risk of fire the municipalities of Vila do Bispo, Lagos, Portimão, Monchique, Silves, Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António (Faro), Almodôvar (Beja), Portalegre, Marvão, Castelo de Vide, Nisa (Portalegre) and Idanha-a-Nova, Vila Velha de Ródão, Proença-a-Nova, Sertã, Vila de Rei (Castelo Branco).

Additionally, in very high risk are the municipalities of Ferreira do Zêzere, Tomar, Sardoal, Abrantes Constância, Vila Nova da Barquinha, Abrantes, Chamusca and Alcanena (Santarém), Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo (Guarda), Mirandela and Macedo de Cavaleiros (Bragança).

According to IPMA, the risk of fire will intensify in some regions of mainland Portugal at least until 2 July.

The fire risk determined by IPMA has five levels, ranging from reduced to maximum.
