In a statement, the GNR revealed that the seizure, made by the Fiscal Action Unit (UAF), through the Fiscal Action Detachment (DAF) of Porto, took place following an investigation that has been ongoing for 18 months.

"The military of the Guard identified several producers and intermediaries who were dedicated to making and selling counterfeit clothing, and seven men and one woman were identified, aged between 19 and 67," the statement said.

In order to dismantle the manufacturing and storage facilities, a police operation called "Golden Thread" was carried out, which included nine searches and resulted in the seizure of 15,138 pieces of counterfeit clothing of various brands, a manufacturing machine, an embroidery machine, various accessories with logos of various brands and 6,335 Euros in cash.

The case has been referred to the Paredes Judicial Court.3
