A world away from the swift and panicked transfer of their classrooms to a laptop screen that many students experienced with the onset of Covid-19, InterHigh is designed to be taught online. A UK curriculum is delivered through live lessons by expert teachers using virtual and interactive technologies, alongside a rounded school experience of clubs, assemblies and pastoral support. With over 16 years’ experience in online schooling, educating over 10,000 students, we offer primary, secondary and sixth form education for ages seven to 19.

You can also cast aside worries of ‘square eyes’ and zoom fatigue – in fact many of our students use online schooling as a way to adapt their schooling around sports and ambitions outside of the classroom. 15-year-old table tennis prodigy and Anna Hursey utilised the flexibility of InterHigh’s virtual lessons and 24/7 content to help her become the youngest ever athlete to compete in the Commonwealth games at a senior level. And for those without Olympic ambitions, a typical day with InterHigh can involve creating art in the sunshine, walking round the park with a podcast, or catching up with maths in between surfing lessons.

For alumnus, Kieran Bjergstrom, his father often travelled for business and would bring Kieran with him to help develop an international perspective. Speaking about his experience, he explains: “At InterHigh, my academic skills were allowed to develop ahead of the usual pace, which would have been unfeasible in an ordinary school.” Following InterHigh, Kieran undertook the International Baccalaureate and went on to study Theoretical Physics at university. After this, he completed a PhD in Quantum Physics and Business, and now runs a Quantum and Emerging Technologies consultancy company. He said: “Overall, I developed the spirit of pursuing my interests with a view to success whilst at InterHigh, and I have applied this mentality since. Combined with the ability to self-motivate, it has enabled me to convert my interests into a feasible business and combine career success with interest and intellectual challenge.”

InterHigh works alongside parents and family schedules to supply quality, flexible online education for students in the comfort of their own home. Our courses are sometimes utilised as a hybrid for those already homeschooling, offering the support of specialist subject teachers and a global community of fellow learners. As part of the Inspired group of over 70 schools across five continents, with over 50,000 students, there’s the opportunity to spend time on-campus at one of the education group’s premium international boarding schools. InterHigh students can socialise and collaborate in summer camps, exchange programmes, and virtual events such as the Model United Nations and Student Leadership initiatives with other students in the Inspired network of schools.
