According to the organisation, “the Lisbon Book Fair [which takes place at Parque Eduardo VII] has the participation of 131 exhibitors (with 24 new presences) spread over 325 pavilions, bringing six hundred editorial brands to the event”. “This is the second largest edition in the history of the Fair, surpassed only by the one in 2019”, highlights the organisation.

Last year, according to data from the Portuguese Association of Publishers and Booksellers (APEL), which organises the fair together with Lisbon City Council, 117 participants in 310 pavilions were present at Parque Eduardo VII, representing 638 publishers, bookstores and brands.

This is the second consecutive year that the Lisbon Book Fair, which usually takes place between the months of May and June, has been postponed to the end of August and beginning of September, due to the lockdown periods and the containment measures adopted for the prevention of the spread of Covid-19. In 2020, the Lisbon Book Fair was held for the first time between the 27th of August and the 13th of September.

The Lisbon Book Fair will be open from Monday to Thursday, between 12:30pm and 10pm on Fridays, between 12:30pm and midnight, and on Saturdays, between 11am and midnight and on Sundays between 11am and 10pm.
