You get to travel from the east to the west end of the Mediterranean. Included in the book are the species found in Portugal and the Algarve. Shells and animals likely to be seen while snorkeling are also described and illustrated.

While this is a comprehensive guide it only features the commonly found species so that is important to note. However it is still a great reference source. The book is easy to follow and the pictures are good.

All in all a great book to read and will appeal to all nature lovers especially those who travel and are wildlife enthusiasts.
