Regular property checks to identify improvements

Each of our villas has a dedicated property manager who knows exactly what it takes for a villa to become a standout property in the Algarve. Having a trusted specialist on your side as an owner is all part of the SandyBlue experience.

The property manager will conduct bi-monthly inspections when the property is not hosting guests, to ensure the villa is in perfect condition.

The inspections ensure no stone is left unturned, covering both the interior and exterior areas of the property. This includes security checks, reporting on damage, addressing damp or insect infestations and that utilities are in good working order. Throughout the pandemic, the team worked tirelessly to ensure properties had the correct signage and other necessities in line with the ‘Clean & Safe’ protocols.

Any other suggestions our team might have are always talked through thoroughly with our owner partner, making sure everyone is happy.

A supercharged guest feedback campaign

As any business knows, gathering customer feedback isn’t always straight forward. Some people will have every intention to leave a review, however time escapes them. While we have always pushed for guest feedback, we knew during the pandemic that these reviews were more important than ever.

Collaboration across our guest experience team and marketing team meant we were able to devise a fantastic reviews campaign, which has led to a huge increase in guest reviews in the last 12 months. With so many tourists doing more research than before, having a property with positive reviews will be a big draw for guests booking holidays for 2022. Furthermore, checking in with guests post departure continues the customer experience and is great for building a pool of returning guests.

Our existing owners have really welcomed this process. Not only do they get to hear how many people enjoyed their property, they also hear constructive feedback that gives them some food for thought when improving the villa and overall experience.
