The musician was due to perform on October 25th and 26th, 2022, at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon, and the two dates were practically sold out for several months.

The dates in Portugal would be part of the new world tour to present "After Hours", but the musician decided to reformulate the show and readjust the 'tour', which will only start in the summer of 2022, affecting the Portuguese dates.

In a message on Facebook, the promoter explains that "all online ticket buyers will be automatically refunded" from Wednesday, October 20, 2021, "within a maximum period of 30 days".

"For those who purchased tickets in physical stores, they may request a refund within a maximum period of 60 working days, from October 20, 2021 to January 14, 2022, at the original point of sale, upon presentation of the ticket and proof of purchase," explains the promoter.

In an advertisement on social media, The Weeknd announced that he would change the start of the new tour to the summer of 2022 and that he intends to redesign the show itself.

"Due to venue restrictions and requests for more concerts, I want to do something bigger and special that requires stadiums," the musician said, alluding to room capacity and limitations due to the covid-19 pandemic.

The Weeknd stated that new dates will be announced.
