According to a source from the Metropolitan Command of Lisbon told Lusa today (Cometlis): “The incident began at 11:40 pm on Rua da Atalaia, in Bairro Alto. Fifty supporters of the German club started to throw various objects, between chairs and tables”.

Following the intervention of the PSP to stop the clashes, two policemen suffered light injuries and seven supporters were arrested.

Today, Sporting faces Borussia Dortmund in a game of the Football Champions League.

The same source told Lusa that clashes also took place near the João Rocha Pavilion, in Lisbon, after a handball game between Sporting and AEK Atenas, on Tuesday.

“Thirty people were involved in clashes after the game. Six supporters were injured, and of these, five were assisted on the spot and one was taken to hospital,” he said.
