Workers in these spaces are required to wear a face mask, as detailed in the new DGS standard, which also determines that bars and clubs must maintain the maximum capacity determined for people/services in the establishment (indoor and outdoor), in compliance with the legislation in force and to affix this capacity in a specific document, visible to the public.
On November 26, after a meeting with the Secretary of State for Commerce, Services and Consumer Protection, João Torres, the president of the National Discos Association (ADN) said that the Government had confirmed the mandatory use of masks inside night entertainment establishments, a situation that the updated DGS guidance does not address.
According to updated DGS guidance, access to bars and clubs and other non-spectacle drink establishments and venues with dance floors is dependent on the presentation by customers of an “EU Covid certificate in the form of test certificate or of recovery” or “other proof of laboratory testing with negative a result”.
The requirement of a test or recovery certificate or other proof of a laboratory test with a negative result does not apply to "workers of spaces or establishments as well as any suppliers or service providers that enable the operation of the same, unless this is the case required under other standards”.
Bars and clubs are required to prohibit entry to users who present symptoms compatible with Covid-19 and to provide hand sanitizer dispensers located "near the entrance of the establishment and in other convenient and accessible places, associated with the provision of explanatory information”.

A very bad decision by the government that wants people to wear masks in the street. Most people have not yet gotten the "booster" which means they are only 40% (low for protection) protected, some of the tests are giving false negatives as well and there will always be the A-typical who can pass it on. AS WELL, Omicron is here with not enough information yet. This is madness. If you want to destroy a virus you need to use ALL the tools in the box as it only takes 1 person to infect 16. I owned the 1st Video Dance Music/Band performances club in Seattle in 1981 so I think the owners got screwed with a complete lockdown when masks should have let them open but now, too far in the other direction; you'll see unfortunately! WHY even experiment, the virus is out of control, look at other EU countries!!!

You only need to wear maks outside in case you cannot keep any distance, hence in crowded places. Else you do not need to wear a mask.

That looks like a bit of nonsense. The rules still state "Uso obrigatório de máscara em todos os espaços fechados e em todos os recintos não excecionados pela DGS" so unless the DGS has specifically exempted bars and discos then the wearing of masks is still mandatory.

Is this virus some kind of alien that can make agreement not to attack certain locations and businesses, why are Portuguese people not out in the streets in a million men march to demand the government to resign?
Please think, why are the virus not dangerous in one location but not the other?
I say again... I have not seen any people in Lisbon or Sweden the past 5 years with any serious influensa symptoms, the past 2 years I have not seen any increase in ambulance transports and hospitals have not been packed full, also I talked with senior manager for a Swedish cemetary he told me less people been buried during 2020 and 2021 compared with 2018 and 2019.
I want the truth, where is this so called pandemic?

Magus, try the US for starters if you want the "truth" as a skeptic. 700,000 people buried or cremated so far so it must be in Portugal logically. You may also want to pull up the "many" videos on U-tube and other websites of people dying in the hospitals begging with their last breaths for people to get the vaccine!
