The additional 570,000 households will add to the 1.1 million families that currently no longer pay IRS because they are covered by the amount of net income on which tax is not levied.

"Currently there are about 1.1 million households covered by the minimum tax thresh hold, it is estimated that with the increase of the minimum wage in 2022, more than 570,000 households will benefit," said an official source from the Ministry of Finance.
