During this Christmas period the GNR detained 56 people for excessive drinking while driving and 16 for driving a vehicle without a legal license.

The GNR states that, among the 3,436 offenses recorded during the four days, 98 were for alcohol abuse, 949 for speeding, 248 for lack of periodic inspection, 97 for incorrect or non-use of seat belts or restraint systems , 74 for using a mobile phone while driving and 90 for lack of mandatory civil liability insurance.
