Portugal fell sixth to the seventh member state with the most new daily cases of the virus.
According to statistical website Our World in Data, Portugal had a daily average of 1.52 deaths per million inhabitants attributed to Covid-19, the same average as Austria, and just below Sweden and Ireland.
