That was the general summary of Algarve tourism figures in December 2021, the month in which the region had an average global occupancy rate per room of 24.8 percent.
According to the region’s largest hotel association AHETA, that was almost triple the rate registered in December 2020, but 32.6 percent lower than in 2019.
