The decisive match for Portugal's aspirations to reach Qatar marks the return of the national team to the home of FC Porto.

If Turkey wins, Portugal will go on to the final of path C of the play-offs, playing once again at Estádio do Dragão, in a match scheduled for 29 March.

The 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December.

Since 16 November 2003, when Estádio do Dragão was inaugurated, Portugal has played 11 matches in the blue and white venue, including the opening game of Euro2004, when they were defeated by Greece, 2-1, and the final of the League of Nations, which they won, on June 9, 2019, against the Netherlands (1-0).

With a capacity of around 50,000 spectators, Estádio do Dragão also hosted the 2020/21 Champions League final, won by Chelsea against Manchester City, 1-0.
