Plane with 133 people on board crashes in southwest China

A China Eastern Airlines plane travelling between the Chinese cities of Kunming (southwest) and Guangzhou crashed today with 133 people on board, state television CCTV reported.

The Boeing-737 crashed near the city of Wuzhou in the Guangxi region and "caused a fire" in the mountains, CCTV reported, adding that rescue teams had been dispatched to the scene.

Currently it is unknown if there are any survivors.
