According to the balance sheet carried this Monday, the municipalities with the highest number of temporary protections granted continue to be Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra, Porto and Albufeira.

As for residence permit certificates, under the temporary protection regime — containing health, social security and tax identification numbers assigned by the respective entities — SEF has already issued 24,764 documents.

Regarding minors, who represent 11,410 of the total of 33,106 temporary protections granted, in terms of registration and protection, Portuguese legislation establishes two categories, depending on whether they are accompanied or unaccompanied, and that SEF acts in different ways.

Since the beginning of the conflict, SEF has already informed the MP of 526 minors who have presented themselves in the presence of someone other than their parent or proven legal representative, without current or imminent danger; and to the CPCJ a total of 15 minors in the same situation and who were “in current or imminent danger”.
