According to a statement released by António Costa's office, the meeting between the two prime ministers is scheduled for 11:30am in mainland Portugal.

According to the same note, on Thursday, the Portuguese prime minister will participate, also by digital means, in the International Conference of High Level Donors for Ukraine, which will take place in Warsaw.

“The initiative is coordinated by the Prime Ministers of Poland and Sweden, in partnership with the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission”.

In the statement, the International Donors Conference “aims to raise funds to respond to the very serious humanitarian situation, to support refugees and displaced persons from the war in Ukraine and to respond to calls from the United Nations, the International Red Cross and other countries”.

“The UN estimates that more than 15 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, including food, medical assistance, protection and shelter,” the Prime Minister's office added.
