The American cruise ship “Disney Magic” was due to dock in Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel, at 7:00 am on Sunday, “with about 1,300 passengers and more than 1,000 crew members”, which would mark the “hundredth stopover” of cruise ships in the Azores, in 2022”.

The liner was due to visit the island of São Miguel for the “seventh consecutive year”, during the Atlantic crossing, which connects Miami to Barcelona, “after two technical stops, in 2020 and in 2021”, according to the company Portos dos Açores.

No reason has been given by the company for the cancellation of the stop over.
