Since May of last year, Fernando Batista has led IMPIC - Institute of Public Markets, Real Estate and Construction, having replaced António Pires de Andrade. One of the challenges he set himself was to change the legal framework for real estate mediation, as he revealed to idealista/news at the time. It is now known that the new proposal to regulate the sector is now in the process of reaching the Government.

“As for the change to the legal regime to which access to and the exercise of the activity of real estate mediation is subject, the new proposal, already with contributions from our Advisory Board and associations in the real estate sector, is being finalised for submission to the government”, said Fernando Batista, in an interview with the Diário de Notícias da Madeira.
