According to indicators released by the Regional Statistics Service of the Azores (SREA), during the month of July, 252,483 passengers landed at the region's airports: 96,324 from the national territory, 115,404 from the islands of the archipelago and 40,755 from abroad.

The number of passengers arriving by air in July in the Azores is the highest in the last five years, as 165,833 people disembarked in 2021, 63,572 in 2020, 219,439 in 2019 and 210,872 in 2018.

“The figures for disembarked passengers increased compared to those recorded in the same month of 2019 (15.1%), pre-pandemic of covid-19, and 52.3% compared to July 2021”, indicates the SREA.
