The book charts the experiences and difficulties the authoress encountered in the first year of living in a strange country. The title “Khao Phat for Lunch” is explained as being the staple dish in the central plains of Thailand of fried rice and the book continues to charter the difficulties encountered when immersed in the cultures and strange customs of the country.

The book is available from most bookshops in the UK, on The Book Guild UK, Amazon and the Book Depository websites. FNAC at MAR Shopping will obtain copies upon request and an E-book version is about to be launched.
