Felix was a fisherman but he could not catch any fish. His parents were annoyed about this so he left home. He settled on what is now called Mount Sao Felix but used to be known as Monte Lanudos.

Felix began to notice a light shining in the night. Eventually he went to look and see what was happening. He discovered the body of St Peter of Rates (We will visit the life of St Peter at another day)

A church was built where the body of St Peter was discovered. The relics were kept there until 1552 and then moved to Braga Cathedral and they remain there to this day.

The Feast Day of St Felix is celebrated on the First Sunday of September.
