A large section of the
Valdelagrana beach in Puerto de Santa María was hit by a “mini-tsunami” on 20
August.

The
phenomenon was caused by a full moon high tide and is known as a “sneaker wave”
but despite the wave flooding the lifeguards post, the water only came to ankle
height and nobody was injured, with the authorities calling for calm regarding
the situation.
