“The covid-19 epidemic maintained a high incidence, with a decreasing trend. The number of hospitalisations for covid-19 and specific mortality for covid-19 show a decreasing trend. Surveillance of the epidemiological situation of covid-19 should be maintained, recommending the maintenance of individual protection measures, booster vaccination and frequent communication of these measures to the population”, recommends the DGS.

Hospital admissions recorded a slight drop, with a total of 559 admissions in the last week, 9 less than in the previous week, and 39 admissions to intensive care units, a weekly variation of minus four.

“The ratio between the number of hospitalised and infected people was 0.24, indicating a lower severity of the infection, similar to what has been observed since the beginning of 2022”, says the DGS.
