According to the INE's 'Monthly Employment and Unemployment Estimates', in August “the unemployment rate remained at 6.0% for the fourth consecutive month”, a value identical to that of May, June and July 2022 and lower than the same month of 2021 (0.3 percentage points).

These statistics also raised the unemployment rate in July, from the provisional value of 5.9% to 6.0%, “the same value as the previous month, 0.1 percentage points higher than the figure for three months before and lower by 0.6 percentage points than a year earlier”.
