Cristiano Ronaldo's form continues to be the subject of heated debate in England. Former Arsenal player Martin Keown has highlighted Ronaldo's age and recalled that every career has an end point.

"I don't want Ronaldo to give up, but he will have to realise, eventually, that there is a decline and that he will no longer be what he used to be. He still has that hunger and that's why he is an incredible player", said Keown, in a talkSPORT interview.

"He's the second oldest player in the Premier League - Thiago [Silva] is the oldest. When you're that age you have a knee problem, an ankle injury... He has to think: 'Okay, I'll give my best for this club'. What's happening is that he's not at the same level he used to be, but he can't accept sitting on the bench either. He wants to play and those days never come back. I see here the two sides of the situation [of Ten Hag and Ronaldo]".
