Owners
of a cattle ranch in Siero, Spain, have been fined €300 because the mooing of
one of their cows, 15-month-old Carmina, exceeded the permitted decibel limit.

to newspaper La Voz de Asturias, the moos reached 74 decibels, when the noise
law establishes a maximum of 55. The owners have appealed the fine which came
about after a complaint from neighbours.
