On the last day of October, compared to the previous month, there was an increase in the volume stored in six river basins and a decrease in six.

The Barlavento (9.1%) and Mira (35.1%) basins had the lowest amount of stored water at the end of October, according to SNIRH data.

Storage averages for the month of October in the Barlavento and Mira basins are 54.8% and 67.8%, respectively.

The Sado (36.3%), Arade (36.6%), Oeste (44.1%), Cávado and Tejo (47.1%) and Douro (47.2%) basins also presented at the end of October less water availability.

According to SNIRH data, the Lima (56.9%), Guadiana (59.5%) and Mondego (62.6%) basins had the highest levels of storage at the end of last month.

The October 2022 storages by watershed are lower than the October storage averages (1990/91 to 2021/22), except for the Lima and Ave basins.

Each watershed may correspond to more than one reservoir.
