Adding Beyoncé's nine nominations in this edition of the Grammys with those she had in previous years, the singer becomes the most nominated artist ever, with 88 nominations, a record she shares with her husband, the 'rapper' and producer Jay-Z, who has five nominations this year.

Beyoncé is nominated for Album of the Year, with "Renaissance", and Recording of the Year, and Song of the Year, with "Break my soul", counting also with nominations in Dance/Electronic and R&B (Rhythm and Blues) categories.

Among the most nominated artists at the 2023 Grammys are also Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled, Future, Terius "The-Dream" Gesteelde-Diamant, Randy Merrill, and Harry Styles, with six nominations each.

The Grammy's long list of 91 categories covers different musical genres, from jazz to classical music, rap, rock, and metal, and from gospel to audiobooks. This year, five new categories have been created, including Songwriter of the Year.

Beyoncé competes for Album of the Year with Abba (for "Voyage"), Adele ("30"), Bad Bunny ("Un Verano sin ti"), Mary J. Blige ("Good morning gorgeous - Deluxe"), Brandi Carlile ("In these silent days"), Coldplay (Music of the spheres"), Kendrick Lamar ("Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers"), Lizzo ("Special") and Harry Styles ("Harry's House").

In the category of Recording of the Year, besides Beyoncé (with "Break my soul"), ABBA ("Don't shut me down"), Adele ("Easy on me"), Mary J. Blige ("Good morning gorgeous"), Brandi Carlile with Lucius ("You and me on the rock"), Doja Cat ("Woman"), Steve Lacy ("Bad habit"), Kendrick Lamar ("The heart part 5"), Lizzo ("About damn time") and Harry Styles ("As it was") are also nominated.

For the Grammy for Song of the Year, in addition to Beyoncé's "Break my soul", the following are nominated: "abcdefu" by Gayle, "About damn time" by Lizzo, "All too well" by Taylor Swift, "As it was" by Harry Styles, "Bad habit" by Steve Lacy, "Easy on me" by Adele, "God did" by DJ Khaled featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend and Fridayy, "The heart part 5" by Kendrick Lamar, and "Just like that" by Bonnie Raitt.

The 65th Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled for 5 February.

Beyoncé is the most awarded woman in Grammy history, having received 28 awards. And this year she can equal or surpass the record held by the Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti (1912 - 1997), achieved in 1997, who throughout his career won 31 Grammys.
