Salto de Castro, the empty village of Zamora, located in Spain along the border with Portugal, was on sale for €260,000, as announced by idealista/news, and it has now been sold.

The buyer, as explained by Romuald Rodríguez, from Royal Invest, a company that represents the owners, is a businessman from Toledo who has a rural tourism project in mind. The deal was closed for €300,000, 15 percent more than the initial sale value.

"We received offers from Saudi Arabia, Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom... investors from more than 20 countries came to us", explains Rodríguez. In addition, the consultant adds that he received proposals of up to €600,000.
