Russian and Belarusian athlete ban

The French sports minister has joined representatives of other countries in signing a joint statement to find a way to allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to be able to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, under a neutral flag.

According to RFI News, more than 30 nations have said they do not want the competitors at sporting events so long as Russia - and its ally Belarus - continues its war in Ukraine.
